Exclusively for Business Hive members, we invite you on-site to see first-hand the work being undertaken, find out all about the fabulous facilities that will be available to thousands of young people in our local area and enjoy a sausage bun (or vegetarian alternative)

The brand-new Horizon Youth Zone is currently under construction, and the big steel structure you can see from the roadside is the 4-court sports hall. The Grimsby Youth Zone, named ‘Horizon’ by local young people, will be an exciting new provision located right in the town centre for the young people of North East Lincolnshire. The Youth Zone is part of the OnSide Network.

Meet On-Site

Horizon Youth Zone is located just off Garth Lane, however, access to the site is currently at the back, near to the Fishing Heritage Centre and Sainsbury’s on Alexandra Dock (use DN31 1UZ on Sat Nav).

From the A180 coming towards Grimsby, go over the first roundabout and turn right at the second onto Pyewipe Road.

Take the second left onto Corporation Road and head towards Sainsbury’s. Drive until you can go no further (Corporation Road Bridge is still closed for repairs) and at the roundabout turn right onto

Fisherman’s Wharf. Avoid turning into Sainsbury’s and follow the road right round until you get to the left-hand bend at the end, keep going until you see the Hobson & Porter sign on the right (just passed a small car park – it’s a bit hidden but you’ll see the site access).

Please note:

• Come on-site and there is a contractor’s car park (hard standing) where you will be able to park and you will be met by Business Hive representatives
• A limited amount of PPE is available, so if you have your own feel free to bring it along, and sturdy footwear will be required.
• We cannot be held responsible for the British weather, so you may need sunglasses, a warm coat or a brolly!
