Why Attend:
This event will strengthen your resolve and determination to reach your goals and be inspired to do so. At a time when there is much uncertainty in the future, having the tools to deal with whatever is thrown at you has never been more important.
About Steve King:
At the age of 19, Steve joined the Royal Marines, beginning a career defined by discipline, resilience and service. After an initial deployment to Scotland, he specialised in reconnaissance and surveillance, later seeing active duty in Northern Ireland, the Balkans, Iraq and Afghanistan.
During Operation Herrick 5 in Afghanistan, he sustained a catastrophic, life-threatening injury that brought his military career to an abrupt end. The experience proved to be a defining moment – not only of survival, but of transformation.
Following his recovery, he channelled the same determination into a new mission: launching a digital marketing agency. Over the years, he has been fortunate to support several globally recognised brands, earning a reputation for strategic insight and commercial impact.
Today, he works primarily with SMES, helping them better understand their marketing capability and implement smarter ways to measure and optimise performance. His story is one of perseverance, reinvention, and the power of mindset – both in the field and in business.
About Pasha Munro:
Pasha Munro’s journey began amidst challenging circumstances, growing up in a disrupted family environment marked by time in children’s homes and refuges for victims of domestic abuse. Despite these early adversities, Pasha discovered a sense of purpose and belonging when he joined the Sea Cadets at the age of 12.
At 16, renewed inspiration came from a Royal Marine recruitment poster, setting him on a course that would define his future.
At 19, Pasha overcame significant odds to join the Royal Marines, completing one of the toughest training programmes in the world, and earning the coveted green beret. His journey within the Marines included mastering physical endurance, tactical intelligence, and survival skills.
Seeking further challenges, Pasha aimed for the UK Special Forces, eventually succeeding after multiple attempts, he became a highly qualified Special Forces operator, specialising in roles demanding expertise, such as Mountain Leader and military diving operations.
Pasha Munro now serves as Operations Director at Black Box Global Ltd, leveraging his extensive military background to guide security operations with precision and strategic insight.
In his role, he crafts tailored security strategies, effectively assessing and mitigating risks.
Amongst his better-known clients are Beyoncé (when she is in the UK) and Actress Samantha Morton. Pasha has looked after news teams in war zones, and trained the Sultans Bodyguards
About Paul Spence:
In 2012, Paul Spence was the victim of an unprovoked attack and subsequently suffered a frontal lobe brain haemorrhage. He survived but was left facing years of neurorehabilitation and was told he would never be the same person. This turned his world upside down in every way imaginable.
Paul refused to let this incident define his future.
In this powerful and deeply personal talk, From Rock Bottom to Finding Purpose, Paul shares his journey of overcoming trauma and rebuilding his life after an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI). He opens up about the immense challenges of recovery, including the emotional and psychological toll of his injury, offering a raw and honest perspective on resilience in the face of adversity.
Paul explores the transformative power of a growth mindset and the crucial role of making choices to support his brain health during recovery. He emphasises how good nutrition, exercise, and an active lifestyle became vital tools in rebuilding his physical and mental strength. By embracing fitness, healthy eating, and positive daily habits, he not only built a new brain but regained control of his life and also discovered a renewed sense of purpose.
His presentation serves as a testament to the strength of the human spirit, proving that no matter how difficult the circumstances, it is never too late to take control, prioritise brain health, and make positive changes. Through sharing his journey, Paul hopes to inspire and empower others to overcome their own challenges and strive to become the best version of themselves.
